Contrary to what it’s name implies, The Shifting Calories Theory is actually not a theory at all. Calorie shifting is a proven weight loss technique and is the basis for one of the most popular diets today, the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet. While many of the most popular diets have been based on the deprivation of either calories or a certain food group such as carbs, fat or protein, shifting calories renders an entirely different approach to weight loss, one which produces fast and continuous fat loss.

Just like the name indicates,  The Shifting Calories Theory works by having you “shift” or vary the number of calories that you consume each day.  You see, your body will always try to burn the exact number of calories that you eat each day, which is what makes weight loss nearly impossible for many people. The fact is though, the human body actually takes several days to sense any change in calories — so by shifting calories your body gets “confused”, preventing your metabolism from slowing down, which forces faster weight loss to occur.
